- It’s not all that easy, getting your sister to sing something just like that. The first video that appeared on my YouTube channel, ‘My sister tries to sing’, was simply a mock up. A tester, to see if they’d actually catch on. But it actually sparked a genius idea.
- Instead of talking about my sister’s singing, why not actually show it? So, as a joke (and she didn’t know she was going to appear on YouTube), I set up my Logitech webcam and filmed her singing (I said I was going to keep it as a time piece. How she believed it, I will never know). So she started singing the Bisto advert song.
-After a few minutes she had finished – and that was that, I had sparked a whole new video series which have now, put toghether, had more than 150 views.
- There has been a whole series of them, My sister tries to sing, My sister tries to sing I, III, and even IV! And now there is a Christmas edition of it.
- In the filming of it, there is a long process to go through (not that long, but an awkward one, let’s say).
-Now she knows she’s appearing on Britain’s number one video website, she insists on “getting ready”, and doing almost pre-flight checks, ha ha ha. She has to even have a piece of paper with the lyrics of the song she’s singing on it.
- Firstly, you have to get into the right position and let her get ready to blast those lyrics out.
-Then it’s time to switch the webcam on, get into Windows Movie Maker and capture from video device!
Once you have done that, you must sit there while she sings it, holding the webcam.
-She’s sung it! Low and behold, you have a video worthy of putting on my channel on YouTube!
